May 2014 - My rally return trunk'ated by a Welsh ditch!

Plains RallyThe Plains Rally, a round of both the Welsh Forest Rally Championship and the BTRDA Rally Series, was the recent award winner for "Best forest rally" in both. For years this event used to be my "home" rally when I was based in Welshpool. And it was my firm favourite for a number of reasons; the weather is always good in May, the forests are some of the best in Wales, the organisation of this event is brilliant and the famous "woodyard" stage is a lot of fun… I should know, I was involved with the Jones family when it was designed and built.

March 2014 - Geoff returns to UK to rally for elephants

Classic safariIn February 2009 I made my stage rallying debut as a driver on the Telford Winter Stages. Despite rolling the borrowed Nissan Micra kitcar I still fought back to finish second in class! The result was more than I could ever have expected but the work and effort of those who supported me in the project made me realise and appreciate how hard it is to go rallying!

November - Classic Safari 2013 – from a photographers point of view

Classic safariThe East African Safari Classic Rally is an amazing test of man and machine. This incredible nine day marathon event sees crews travel over 4 500 kilometres across some of the most scenic and scary African roads. Samira is also a pretty talented pilot in her own right, working the long haul routes as a First Officer on a Boeing 767 for Kenya Airways, the Pride of Africa!

September - Kisumu Rally report

kisumu rallyFinally a finish! After a season that began with such high hopes which soon turned to despair and frustration, the Kisumu Rally was such an anticlimax - the end of an emotional roller coaster for myself and Raaji, the crew of Car 4!

August - It's amazing how fast a season can fall apart so rapidly!

safari rallyI began codriving for rapid youngster Raaji Bharij early in 2012 and we clicked immediately. A 5th overall finish, despite loosing a rear wheel and everything that was attached to it, on our first rally together, was the start of an enjoyable season. We won stages, lead events and stood on the podium.

July - My first Kenyan rally win.

anwar pandyaIronically my first rally win in Kenya did not come alongside Raaji but rather at a training rally in Nairobi. My good friend Anwar Pandya invited me to sit alongside him in a RVMSC training rally. Although he had just taken delivery of a brand new Prodrive Subaru N14 we would be using his tried and trusted Prodrive Subaru N10 as this event was just one week before the KCB Nyeri Rally and we did not want to risk damaging the new car.
